Windows Mobile 7 in late 2010, already game over? →
This is crappy news. I don’t like Windows Mobile in the slightest, but the better competition the smartphone market has, the better, and WM7 is built on a much firmer base than WM6 was. If nothing else, it may have had some interesting ideas for others to implement better.

If the US Air Force is using Windows Vista and Excel to “control critical information on our fighter jets,” something is terribly, terribly wrong with the “most advanced and expensive military organization in the world.” Setting aside debates about US military spending, there’s no way in hell that Windows should be an operational cornerstone of anyone’s freedom.
